Tai Nathan was born last night, June 29th, at 9:16 pm. He was 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 18.5 inches. Ambur was induced becase she didn't want His birthday to be too close to Trey (July 10). So now they are in different months at least!

We got the call to come in at 1:45 pm. By 3 pm she was all hooked up and then the contractions started coming. Ambur was thinking she would like to try to go natural but by 6 pm she was at a 6 and wanted the epidural. She needed 2 doses to get it going so it took almost an hour since requesting to finally get the pain to subside.

After that things went smooth. Grandma and the boys showed up right as she was getting ready to push just after 9 pm. They were being so funny waiting at the door! Ambur pushed twice and he was out. We didn't have a name yet but didn't start to worry yet. When Trey finally came in the room he couldn't stop welling up with tears. It was so sad!

Ambur and the baby had a very peaceful night and they let us go home about 11 am this morning. We came up with the name about 5 minutes before we left! Tai in Chinese has a few meanings. It is probably not ironic that it means both "greatest" and "servant."

update on Nate!

For the last few months Nate has been able to get back into running. He has been running anywhere from 45-65 miles a week! Yeah, I know what most of you are thinking...how? and why? I really don't know, but he loves it and is pretty good at it. He has run and won the 5miles Dam 2 Dam around sand hollow and his relay took first in the 50mile lake to lake run. He has also run the spectrum 10k in which he took 2nd over all and unofficially won his first Marathon in Moab. He had hoped for it to be an official race, but the morning of there was about 2 feet of snow on the ground and a slight blizzard at the starting line. :/ The race officials said that they couldn't be held responsible if there happened to be an injuries so they were going to have to cancel the race. About 10 people including Nate said they wanted to run it anyway :) so the bus dropped them off at the starting line. The boys, my mom, and I were waiting at about mile 8 or 9 to cheer him on, but ended up following him the whole race to give him drinks and anything else he may need. The rest of the runners, that did not start at the starting line, decided to be dropped off at the half way mark and make it a half marathon. Nate won the marathon with a time of 3 hrs 6 min. pretty good considering he ran in snow the first 12 or 13 miles.

He has also just recently taken 4the in the Hurricane half marathon. He was a little disappointed in the finish . He was a little unfamiliar with the course so he didn't kick as soon as he would have liked, but he still came away with 4th place and a p.r. of 1hr 20min.

His upcoming races include the the Utah Valley marathon on the 13th of June which is the first race of the Grand Slam, which means you run 4 marathons in 1 summer :/ so after UV he would like to do top of Utah, Park City, and St.George. After the 4th marathon they combine all 4 marathon times to decide the winner.

There have been plenty of times when I think he is crazy for how far he runs, but on the other hand very motivating. So much for gaining sympathy weight for me throughout the pregnancy :) We are very proud of how well he has done and is doing and look forward to being at the finish line for many more races! :)

Up Dates!

Well I just wanted to post a quick up date! We have heard back from the company we have been working with in Georgia, about China. They have decided it would probably be easier for eveyone if we just waited till the baby is born. They are not in a hurry and not loking for anyone else to fill the position so not to worry, they will keep us upated if there are any changes and visa versa! We were excited to get some news and grateful that we (I) won't have to have the baby in China :) So we are here in St.George till at least after the baby is born! Which by the way, another upate, we are having another BOY ;) yup 4 boys I have no idea what I am going to do! :/

We are still very excited if this China adventure happens, but we both realize things happen for a reason and a lot can happen between now and July so we are trying to keep an open mind and our options open! It is still amazing to me, and always will be, the different directions our lives can take so quickly! :)

Peyton is the "BIG" 3

Peyton is 3 years old! I can't believe how fast time flys. We decided to take a trip to Mesa, so we took him to the Phoenix zoo for his Birthday. He had a great time. He got to see the lions,tigers, and even got to see an orangutan pee which he still talks about :) He made sure everyone remembered it was his birthday (all day long) he was so excited to have all the attention :) After the zoo we went over to his cousins house for presents and ice cream cake! He had a great 3rd Birthday!

Little Surprise!

So as you all know the last time I posted was to fill everyone in on our, soon, trip to China. Well some things have changed I have just recently found out that I am 3 months pregnant with baby #4 yup #4. Though this one was not as much of a surprise as Peyton and Trey it still happened about 4 or 5 months earlier than we were planning. I am due July 6th so China has changed a bit. We are not exactly sure on the new details or when we will be leaving so I will let everyone know as soon as I do. :) We are trying to work something out with a steel comp. in Georgia that works very closly with a Chinese comp. They offered Nate a job working with the Chinese part of their comp. They would send us over to China for about 18months while Nate learns how to run the Chinese part of their comp. Then they would move us back to Georgia to learn the American part of the comp.This sounds like a great opportunity for us so we hope things work out. They said they would get back to us after the holidays so hopefully we hear back soon. Anyway this is the newest update in our lives, when we find out more we will let you know! Untill then we are trying to prepare how we are going to handle 4 children...under the age of 5 :/ Hopefully the newest baby doesn't come in China :)

Moving Again!

ok so I know I just posted that we moved to Henderson NV. but things did not work out for us there so we are moving again. We had moved for a job promotion, but when the work load kept getting bigger but not the pay and the promotion farther away... some of the promises that were made to us were starting to be taken back and for some other more complicated reasons Nate decided to resign! I of course was in complete shock when he came home from work and gave us the news but was in complete support of his decision. After applying to many jobs in the Las Vegas, Henderson areas and after many many prayers we have finally made a decision. We are moving to CHINA! yes you read it right and I am serious we are moving to China. Nate has always wanted to start his own business and be able to use his Chinese more. So we are going to China to teach English for 6 months while Nate gets the marketing needed to start his business. We have moved back to St.George to store our stuff for the time being but we will be leaving at latest the first of Feb-July. We are very excited and I of course very nervous but I also think that this will be an amazing opportunity for our family! Wish us luck and because our lives will be focused a lot more on email communication I will I will be posting much more often! :)

The Marathon!

Well we did it! Nate and I ran the St.George Marathon on Sat. the 4th, yes bad weather and everything, we did it and we finished. We stayed at the Ence's cabin the night before which was very nice so we didn't have to get up at 3:30am to load the buses. That night it started blowing pretty hard and we were all getting a little nervous and hopeing it would pass by the morning. Well the wind had died down a little but it had started to rain...yup it rained the whole race often with a head wind! Everyone was soaked and freezing! Though not many were able to finish with their desired times we all finished. Nate says he would like to try again to qualify for Boston and yes I think I might try another just to see if I could run in the time I desired with good weather!
It is quite the accomplishment to be able to say I ran a Marathon so am Pretty excited but definately glad it's over. I can't even explain how excited I was to see the finish line especially since people had been yelling "you are almost there" for the last 3 miles :/
As soon as we get some pictures from our families we can post and show you all how it was! :)

We have Moved!

Well it is official, we have moved to Henderson NV. Nate got a promotion with work and is working to get an even bigger promotion hopfully soon! :) We found a nice place up against the mountain overlooking Las Vegas we have an awesome view. Anyway I will try and post regularly to keep you all up dated on how things are going, but the iternet is not as easy access so bare with me! Anyway if you ever come to Vegas look us up and come visit. We still have family in St.George so we of course will be up there often!

Trey Turns 1 Year Old!

Trey turned 1 on July 10.

Trey is walking pretty good now, he has moved from walking only between Nate and I and progressed to walking between furniture. He now stands up from the floor by himself and walks to where he wants to go but still grabs on to the closest piece of furniture or wall when he starts to get a little shaky. He can't wait to be able to run and keep up with Mason and Peyton!

We went to a friend's house for 4th of july. The boys had a great time playing with sparklers. But when they started setting off the bigger ones that make noise they were done. We left before they were finished and caught the City display from the road.

Well I can now check 1 thing off my goal list for the year! I ran and Finished a Half Marathon! :) Nate and I ran the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon(13.1 miles) on the 19th of July. Though it was a beautiful run it was not easy. The first mile was a slight up hill to the top of the canyon then a very steep down hill for the next 5 miles. Imagine running down formaster for 5 miles straight. For the remaining 7.1 miles it was pretty much up and down( some hills, some straight, some down hill.) It was a beautiful, fun run but very difficult for me! As you can see in the picture Nate looks like he is holding me up :) Nate did awesome he ran the whole thing with out stopping finishing with a time of 1hr 32min. His goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon in the Marathon this year. He ran 7min miles so he is actually running faster splits than he would need to to qualify. I,on the other hand, had to stop at about mile 6(at the bottom of the hill) and stretch really good. That hill was really hard on my knees and hips. especially my bad leg from the accident. I finally finished with a time of 2hrs and 26 min. Nate was able to come back and run the last 1/2 mile with me which was great because I really just wanted to walk the rest of the way. I needed that extra push at the very end.:) My time wasn't great but I accomplished my goals. I didn't come in last(by far) and I finished under 2 and 1/2 hrs. Our next challenge is the top of Utah half Marathon Aug. 23 in Logan. Nate, I, and my sister Melissa will be running this one

Utah Summer Games

Well we did it.Nate and I ran the 5K and the 10K @the Utah summer games this year. The 10k started friday at 7:00 am. We met at the park on main street and from there were bussed to the starting line 6.2 miles up Cedar canyon. Nate finished with a great time of 40:52.5 which was good enough to win him a bronze metal. He won 3rd in his division! I was not able to win a metal, but I was very pleased with how well I did. I finished with a time of 1:01:33.6 10th in my division. I was able to cut 10 min. off my last 10k time!
The 5k started the next morning(sat.) at 7:oo am same place, but this time the busses only took us 3.1 miles up the canyon. Nate again ran fast enough to win a metal(3rd place). He was very excited to win 2 metals in his first time competing in the Summer Games. Nate ran an incredible time of 19 min. flat. I again not quite fast enough to win a metal, but again broke a PR. I finished 8th with a time of 27:24 cutting 6 min off my last 5k time! Our next race is a half marathon through Bryce canyon in July. Excited, but extremly nervouse. I thought 6.2 miles was a long way! :)

On April 22nd Mason turned 4 years old! :) We had grandmas and grandpas come over for cake and ice cream on the day of. We used trick candles on the cake so he had to blow extra hard and still ended up needing help from Peyton and Jake in the end. Then on Sat. he had some of his school friends and neighbor friends come over for a transformer party at the park. He had sooo much fun, but got a little confused when we had 2 parties. He thought that he would be turning 5 when his friends came over for the party on Sat. :)
Peyton and Trey were so worn out by the time the party was over they both crashed on the floor! :)

ok, so I have decided I have a lot of admiration for those of you who post new blog pages daily. I don't know how you find the time but I am trying! :)
Because we have not posted in awhile(surprise) I am starting back in March. YUP it has been that long. These are some pictures of the boys coloring their Easter eggs. We took them up to Pine Valley for the egg hunt but the pictures didn't post and I was not starting over. :)
Trey decided he was hungry and wanted to try and make his own bottle! Luckly he got into the formula that I don't use, but it was pretty funny! :)
On March 15th Melissa and I ran our first 10k. Yes I am finally doing it WE(Melissa,Nate, & I) are going to attempt the marathon. Of course Nate will be done well before us. Our next race is a 5k run for kids in May. I will try and have pictures for that one. :)

TRUE STORY!

So it started out as any other Saturday. After breakfast and cleaning up the house. We loaded the strollers to take the boys on a ride so that Nate and I could go for a run. We decided we would run through Snow Canyon Park. On our way we stopped at the Wells Fargo bank at Albertsons on bluff. Nate had just finished doing an employee's taxes and was getting the money from the bank. I waited out in the car with the boys while he ran in. After what seemed like a very long time to make a quick withdrawal I see a police officer come squealing into the parking lot and then take up like 5 spots. I of course was judging and being very irritated until he jumped out of his car carrying an assault riffle and ran into the store. My heart sank and I started to panic. Nate's employee was parked just across from me. She got out of her car and the officer said "lock your door and windows and stay inside!" She ran over and got in the car with us and I began to cry. I could not believe of all the banks and all the days someone wood rob the bank that Nate was in. I have never heard, or of course seen on t.v. any bank robbery that ended well! I prayed just as hard as I could that Nate would be protected. After what seemed like an eternity, but prob. about 10min. The whole store was surrounded and know one was aloud in or out of the store! Melissa, Nate's employee, got out of the car and went up to one of the officers to see if everything was alright! he said " yes we have the guy, we are just getting statements." Well of course the guy ended up standing right next to Nate at the next window. he said he heard him say something about "jail" and hand the teller a note. When her face went white and fear came into her eyes he started putting the pieces together! He tried to keep things light and remain calm. The guy then said to the teller " I will just wait over here". and sat down in a chair ? The note continued to be passed to other tellers and now Nate was the only one standing there, so the other tellers thought HE was trying to rob the bank! :) The confusion was cleared and they finished his transaction. He left and found another gentleman to stand and watch the guy until the cops came, just in case. It turns out he was wanting to go to jail. He had no weapons and didn't put up a fight. The note said " I need $500 call the cops and I will just wait over here till they come." :/ The FBI are still looking into it. I am SOOO grateful that things turned out the way that they did and Nate was kept safe! It definitely makes you look at the big picture a little different! I am so grateful for my family, especially Nate! :)

Peyton is a little like his dad, kind of a wuss when he gets cold.

Mason loved the snow and probably would have never left.

Trey was very curious but loved it!

Las Vegas Airshow

The boys had a blast at the Air Show at Nellis Air Base. The sad thing is they had more fun playing in the rocks than watching the planes...

Peyton had a fun time until he fell face first into a cactus. It poked him in the lip, on his arm, and on his chest and belly. Nothing serious, but still sad! Ask him about it and he will lift his shirt up and say, "right here, right here, right here..." but he points to different palces each time. =)

jubilee of trees

Jake (Ninja, Jake is Ambur's little Bro for those of you who don't know), Trey (Candy Corn), Peyton (Spiderman Jr.), and Mason(Spiderman).All the boys had a great time trick or treating in their costumes. Peyton had a mask too that he would not keep on. Trey actually stayed awake through most of the festivities. We went to about 20 houses before they all started asking when we were going home.

Okay, okay, we will follow the crowd!
